For the time being, Leader University and Hsing Kuo University of Management were founded in Gongwun village in this District, which form a university city with Tainan Hydraulics Laboratory of Annan School of NCKU and formed the base of an important academic city. The university city links with NCKU and National University of Tainan, and also Southern Taiwan University of Technology, Kun Shan University, Chang Jung Christian University, Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology and Chia Nan University of Pharmacy & Science, and reflects the “important academic city” of Tainan City.
